My name is Daljit Sharma, and I possess extensive experience in health and safety training and consultancy, I have built a strong reputation in the construction sector. My career has focused on delivering expert training that equips individuals and teams with the skills needed to maintain high safety standards and promote a culture of compliance.
As a Senior Health & Safety, Environmental, and CDM Consultant and Trainer, I collaborate with a diverse range of clients, helping them manage workplace risks while developing and delivering training programs tailored to their needs. My work includes delivering the C-ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification, where I focus on cultivating strong leadership skills to inspire teams and drive success.
I am passionate about empowering professionals through training, ensuring they are well-prepared to lead safety initiatives and advance their careers. I believe in tailoring programs to meet the specific needs of learners, ensuring they gain practical skills that can be immediately applied in their roles. Through my years of training experience, I have helped numerous professionals advance their careers, improve safety practices, and lead their organisations with confidence and expertise.

A qualified SHEQ and CDM Consultant, passionate about providing accessible and easy-to-understand advice on all CDM and Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality management issues.
Having qualified as a SHEQ and CDM consultant and trainer a number of years ago, I now manage the workload of several employees while simultaneously fulfilling a Consultant role and delivering Client work and visits. One of my biggest passions is to connect with local authorities and organisations on projects of innovation in construction, so that we can make a lasting impression on the industry.
I won the Most Influential Designer accolade at the National Federation of Builders (NFB) Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction Awards, this year, whilst also being recognised as one of The Top 100 Most Influential Women In Construction.
I have also featured on national media outlets such as the BBC to provide thought leadership on the existing RAAC crisis.
I was honoured with an award that acknowledged her inclusion in the list of Inspirational Business Women in STEM and Construction.

In my role, I oversee office supply management to maintain a well-equipped and efficient work environment, accurately maintain sales ledger records, and coordinate logistical arrangements for our remote team. I play a key role in supporting credit control processes, contributing to healthy cash flow and financial stability. My administrative expertise includes meticulous post organisation, precise calendar scheduling, and seamless event coordination. By providing comprehensive support to all departments, I enhance collaboration and address diverse needs effectively.

I am on the way to obtain a CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development, and I am passionate about creating engaging and effective learning solutions that meet the needs of diverse and global teams.
In my roles at PTW, I have improved team productivity, successfully managed projects within designated timeframes, and developed and implemented testing processes that exceeded the required quality standards. I have also gained proficiency in web-based training tools, such as Articulate, Power Point and Teams, and I have obtained multiple certifications in unconscious bias, project management foundations, and agile project leadership. I am a tenacious and culturally sensitive professional who strives to deliver high-quality results and foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Driven by a passion for financial excellence and operational efficiency, I bring a wealth of expertise to my role as the Business and Finance Lead at The OM Group.
I oversee a spectrum of financial and administrative functions critical to our consultancy and training services within the construction sector. I am adept at providing comprehensive accounting and administrative support to both internal teams and external clients, ensuring smooth operations and high levels of client satisfaction, in line with our client-centric approach.
In this multifaceted role, I lead the finance and business continuity teams, ensuring our financial records are not only accurate but also up-to-date. My responsibilities include managing sales and purchase ledgers, refining credit control processes, and overseeing office supplies and annual leave schedules. Additionally, I play a key role in liaising with stakeholders for insurance implementation and renewals, and in onboarding new team members, serving as their primary point of contact.
My recent achievement of AAT Level 2 certification, along with my ongoing pursuit of AAT Level 3 and an apprenticeship in Level 3 Assistant Accountant, underscores my dedication to continuous professional growth. This commitment to learning enhances our organisation’s financial integrity and operational efficiency. With a diverse background that combines 7 years in education and 9 years in the Army Reserves, including 4 years in the Royal Logistic Corps as a Class 3 Movement Controller. My time in the military has equipped me with skills in efficient logistics, while my education career has seen me progress from Lecturer to Programme Coordinator, Personal Tutor, and Assessor.
Presently, I am working with the OM Group as a Trainer and Assessor, where I handle the CILM Level 3 Leadership and Management Qualification. This role has allowed me to apply my experience in a new setting, focusing on the development of learners. My past few months here have been engaging and productive, reflecting a blend of my educational and military expertise.

I’ve remained in the Learning and Development sphere within both college and independent provider settings subsequently holding Management & Quality Assurance roles. Having achieved an extensive skills set across various sectors throughout my career; I now find myself in the role of training and assessment specialist as well as an Internal Quality Assurer with The OM Group.

My career spans various roles, each complimenting my expertise. Starting in the construction industry, I gained practical insights that later fuelled my stint as a lecturer in HNC Construction and management training. Transitioning to education, I honed my teaching skills in secondary schools and sixth form colleges, shaping young minds and future leaders.
Before joining the OM Group, my focus shifted to project management and Learning & Development, where I combined my industry experience with educational expertise to foster growth and development in professional settings. This diverse background has equipped me with a unique perspective that I bring to all my educational endeavours.

As the Minister for Tech & Digital Economy, I worked with the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology to foster a thriving and inclusive tech ecosystem, support digital transformation across sectors, and promote ethical and responsible use of technology.
As the Minister for London, I championed the interests and needs of Londoners, addressed the challenges and opportunities of urban development, and sought to enhance the cultural and economic vitality of the capital. I have strong skills in strategic communications as a respected media performer; speech writing, and political strategy, which enable me to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, influence decisions, and build consensus on complex issues. Over the past 10 years, my focus shifted to teaching Health & Safety in construction, alongside employability skills, warehousing, and CSCS training, with a special passion for asbestos training.
In my current role at The OM Group, I serve as the IQA, Trainer, and Assessor. My primary responsibilities involve delivering and assessing the CILM Level 3 Leadership and Management Qualification and ensuring the highest standards of training quality and effectiveness.
